Members Supporting Members: How Taste Cuisine Yorkshire and NEO Founders came together through Yorkshire Ladies Links
One of the things we love most about Yorkshire Ladies Links is seeing the genuine relationships built through our network turn into real business opportunities.
Networking is about so much more than exchanging business cards or meeting people at events; it’s about getting to know one another, building trust and making connections that can open doors. The story of our members Kerry Ray of Taste Cuisine Yorkshire and Samantha Wagstaff of NEO Founders is a lovely example of exactly that.
Kerry is the founder of Taste Cuisine Yorkshire, an established Yorkshire-based luxury catering company specialising in weddings, corporate events and celebrations. She was looking to develop the company’s brand, including a new website, brochure, marketing materials and colour palette that reflected the quality of the business.
Finding the right person to work with was important to Kerry. She wanted someone who understood her vision, took the time to get to know the business and had experience working with female business owners. Knowing both members, our founder Melanie Malcolm suggested Kerry connect with Samantha Wagstaff of NEO Founders, a UK-based social and e-commerce growth partnership for female founders, bringing content, ads and conversion together to help businesses grow.
And what a great introduction it turned out to be! Within just a couple of months, Kerry and Samantha had brought the project together, and Taste Cuisine Yorkshire is now unveiling its new corporate brand, including its website, brochure, marketing materials and new colour palette.
A website that celebrates Yorkshire
Samantha worked closely with Kerry and her team to create a website that showcases the food, experience and quality behind Taste Cuisine Yorkshire, with the Yorkshire rose woven into the branding to celebrate its roots.
We asked Samantha to tell us a little more about working with Kerry and what being part of Yorkshire Ladies Links has meant for her business.
Samantha said:
“It's been a pleasure to support Kerry and the team behind Taste Cuisine Yorkshire as they evolve their brand online. Their food already does the talking, so my focus was creating a platform that showcases it to the standard it deserves, with a fresh colour scheme and the Yorkshire rose woven into the branding to celebrate their roots.
Yorkshire Ladies Links has played a lovely part in growing NEO Founders this year. Three of my new clients have come from the network or are indirectly connected to it, and those introductions always feel genuine because they're built on real relationships rather than a sales pitch.
Working with a fellow member is a real joy. When Mel introduced me to Kerry, I connected with her story straight away and it was clear we shared the same values. My mission is to change the statistics around female-led businesses in the UK, and every woman I help build a stronger brand and strategy brings us a step closer. Businesses like Taste and networks like Yorkshire Ladies Links are the pillars that will get us there.”

For Kerry, finding Samantha through Yorkshire Ladies Links made the experience even more special. Having that connection through the network meant there was already a level of trust, but Samantha's approach and understanding of the business quickly confirmed she was the right person for the job.

“From the moment I met Samantha, I was super impressed. She had done her research following a short conversation we’d had before meeting, and within a couple of weeks she had created the first draft of our website. We were blown away from the very start, and after the usual tweaks, the site came together very quickly.
Having that connection through Yorkshire Ladies Links made us feel comfortable working together, and knowing we were part of the same network really helped.
I couldn’t recommend Samantha highly enough; she has been absolutely phenomenal throughout this whole process.
