This month, we’re pleased to introduce Fiona Moss, who has recently joined Yorkshire Ladies Links and brings with her a story many women will quietly recognise.

Fiona is in her 50s and works as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the NHS. Her background is firmly grounded in clinical practice, with a Master’s in Advanced Practice, an Independent Prescribing qualification, and a PGCE in Clinical Education. Her career has always centred around evidence-based care, safety, and supporting others.
More recently, Fiona has opened her own aesthetics clinic alongside her NHS role — a step that reflects both professional growth and something more personal.
Seeing It From Both Sides
Aesthetics became important to Fiona because she’s living it too.
She understands how, in our 40s and 50s, skin can begin to change — often gradually. It may feel less hydrated, a little duller, or not quite as vibrant as we feel inside.
Fiona sees this every day in her clinical work, but she also recognises it when she looks in the mirror herself. That shared experience allows her to connect with the women she treats on a deeper level — not just professionally, but personally.
A Different Approach to Aesthetics
For Fiona, this work has never been about chasing perfection.
Her focus is on helping women feel like themselves again — fresher, brighter, and more confident, without looking overdone. In an industry that can often feel driven by trends and quick fixes, she has chosen a more considered approach.
Her clinic is built around taking time, educating properly, and always putting the person first.
Starting Something New in Her 50s
Opening a business at this stage of life has brought a different kind of growth.
Fiona recognises that with experience comes self-awareness — but also moments of doubt. What stands out in her journey is the understanding that it’s still possible to evolve, even after an established career.
There’s something quietly empowering in realising you don’t have to stay where you are.
Why Community Matters
Joining Yorkshire Ladies Links felt like a natural step for Fiona.
She understands that behind every business is a woman navigating growth, confidence, and change — often all at once. Being part of a community where that’s recognised and supported is something she values.
What Matters to Fiona
As she continues to grow her clinic, Fiona’s focus remains simple.
She supports women who feel their skin has become a little lacklustre, who want to feel refreshed rather than “done,” and she does this in a way that is safe, natural, and grounded in clinical expertise.
Her journey is a reminder that you don’t have to choose between being clinical and being entrepreneurial — and you don’t have to have everything worked out to begin.
Sometimes, it’s about taking the next step and trusting yourself to grow into it.
