Meet Our Member and new PR Partner, Claire Kenny, Founder of Write for you PR and Ghostwriting Ltd
Updated: 10 hours ago

We’re delighted to introduce Claire Kenny, whose company offers support to a range of public figures, businesses and charities. Claire isn’t just a member – she’s also Yorkshire Ladies Links’ first-ever official PR partner and will be working with our Founder, Melanie Malcolm, to further boost our reputation as Yorkshire’s premier membership organisation.
Claire has almost 30 years of experience as a commercial copywriter and communications professional. After originally working for NHS England, Claire came into her own during the pandemic, when she was called upon by the Chief People Officer and other senior execs to consult on sensitive messaging, ghostwrite speeches and articles, and run social media accounts. As life returned to normal, she quickly realised her dream was to support female leaders on a full-time basis, and Write for you was born.
“I think the general consensus when I left a very steady, well-paid job with great perks to work for myself was that I was mad,” says Claire, “but I’m a great believer that if you can’t stop thinking about something, it’s meant for you, and no matter how much I rationalised it, taking the leap was only a matter of time.”
Since launching her business, Claire has amassed a vibrant and diverse list of clients, from the production company behind upcoming Brit comedy Hot Flash starring Gaynor Faye and the West Yorkshire charity Focus4Hope, to leisure and hospitality company the Potions Cauldron Group. She’s also working with our founder Melanie Malcolm.
From a ghostwriting perspective, Claire has written the memoirs of entrepreneur and philanthropist Sir Rodney Walker and is working with a high-profile reality star on theirs.
Melanie commented: “Claire came along to one of our events with her sister, member Rachel Hill, and we met for coffee shortly afterwards. I could see immediately how she honed in on the most compelling parts of my story, and understood how to tell it with impact. We’re already seeing the benefits of Claire’s media contacts and storytelling skills - I’m excited to see what else is in store when it comes to getting Yorkshire Ladies Links on the map!”
