Meet Our Member: Sarah Brown –Nutritional Therapy
At Yorkshire Ladies Links, we love celebrating the wonderful women within our network, discovering more about their businesses, their journeys and the passions that drive them.
Today, we’re delighted to introduce Sarah Brown, founder of Sarah Brown Nutritional Therapy, who supports women to better understand their bodies, improve their wellbeing and feel more confident in their health.

Supporting women through nutrition and lifestyle
Based in Leeds and working with clients worldwide, Sarah is a Registered Nutritional Therapist specialising in women’s health, hormones, perimenopause and menopause, thyroid health, gut health, fatigue and stress.
Through Sarah Brown Nutritional Therapy, she provides personalised nutrition and lifestyle support, helping women understand what may be contributing to how they feel and identify practical, sustainable changes that work for them.
Sarah takes a holistic approach informed by functional medicine, looking beyond nutrition alone to consider the wider picture of someone’s health. Sleep, movement, stress, purpose and connection all play an important role in her work.
Her aim is to make the science behind health and wellbeing easier to understand, empowering women to make informed decisions about their health without feeling overwhelmed by conflicting advice.
A passion for supporting others
For Sarah, supporting people has always been at the heart of her working life. In her early twenties, alongside working as a mortgage adviser, she volunteered with the Youth Justice Service, supporting young women and their families. She also volunteered at a school, helping children learn to read when English was not their first language, before going on to work for the Youth Justice Service.
These experiences helped shape the values that continue to guide her today: ensuring people feel supported, understood and empowered, whatever their starting point.
Sarah’s own experiences of anxiety, burnout and changing hormones have also influenced her approach. She understands how unsettling it can be to feel unlike yourself and how important it is to feel listened to and supported.
With almost 20 years of experience in health and wellbeing and 10 years of professional work in the field, Sarah combines her professional knowledge with empathy and a genuine passion for helping women feel their best.
Education, empowerment and connection
Education is a particularly important part of Sarah’s work. She believes that when women understand their bodies, they can feel more confident in the choices they make and take a more active role in their wellbeing.
Alongside one-to-one consultations, Sarah delivers corporate wellbeing talks, seminars, webinars, workshops, online group programmes and retreats. She also supports student learning at the College of Naturopathic Medicine through lecturing, student clinic experience and mentoring.
A recent highlight was speaking to more than 1,300 people worldwide through a women’s leadership network, sharing valuable education around women’s health and wellbeing. It was a special opportunity to reach a wider audience and continue her mission of making women’s health knowledge more accessible.
Sarah’s work also reflects something we value greatly at Yorkshire Ladies Links: the importance of connection. Whether through individual support, group programmes or wellbeing events, creating opportunities for women to learn, share experiences and feel supported is central to her approach.
Life beyond the business
When she isn’t working with clients or delivering workshops, Sarah enjoys rock climbing, strength training, hiking and spending time at her allotment. Being outdoors is an important part of her own wellbeing, and she loves bringing people together through wellbeing events that combine learning with meaningful connection. She also enjoys spending time with her gorgeous Cocker Spaniel, Rambo!
Sarah’s experience of Yorkshire Ladies Links
We love hearing how our events help members build relationships, try something different and connect beyond traditional networking. Sarah recently joined us for our padel event and shared the following:
“The Yorkshire Ladies Links padel event was such a lovely way to meet other women and connect outside a traditional networking setting. For someone who enjoys being active, this was perfect for me. I really enjoyed combining movement with conversation.
As someone who values the role of connection in wellbeing, it was a great reminder of how valuable opportunities like this can be. Also, the food that was served was incredible and definitely got my approval!”
It’s wonderful to hear how our events create opportunities for women to connect in a relaxed and enjoyable environment, building relationships while sharing experiences and having fun along the way.
