Founded in 2012, The Sleep Charity is dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of sleep and providing evidence-based support to children, families and adults who are struggling. From delivering training to professionals to offering direct support through their helpline, commissioned sleep services and resources, their work is transforming lives across the UK.

Sleep is not a luxury — it’s a necessity. Poor sleep can impact mental health, physical well-being, relationships and productivity. That’s why The Sleep Charity is passionate about breaking the stigma around sleep issues and making expert help accessible to all.

Whether it’s supporting parents of sleepless children, helping teens navigate sleep challenges, guiding adults through insomnia, or helping businesses to improve their employees’ sleep as part of health and wellbeing initiatives, The Sleep Charity is here to help. Their work is backed by leading sleep experts and driven by a team that truly care.

The Sleep Charity is incredibly proud of the positive difference it has made over the past year, including:

  • Helping 236 families get a good night’s sleep thanks to our commissioned sleep service and expert practitioner support

  • Responding to 791 calls on its National Sleep Helpline

  • Training 580 professionals through its Sleep Well Academy

  • Driving nearly 800,000 visitors to its website for high-quality, expert advice

  • Running 100 webinars and workshops across the UK to corporate organisations and educational establishments

  • Over 79,000 information resources were downloaded

It aims to:

  • Provide access to high-quality, credible information and advice to deal with most sleep issues

  • Ensure everyone understands the value of a good night’s sleep

  • Campaign for improvements to the support available

  • Make a positive difference to the lives of those we work with by campaigning for improvement to the support available

  • Provide accredited training for professionals so they can offer sleep support to the people they work with
