Join Us for an Unforgettable Day with Lindsey Burrow at the Yorkshire Voices Conference

Start 2025 with a truly unforgettable event, the Yorkshire Voices Conference on Friday 28th February 2025, at Wetherby Racecourse and Conference Centre.

The event features two of Yorkshire’s most respected TV presenters and journalists, Christa Ackroyd and Christine Talbot, who will host the day’s stand out sessions. At the heart of the conference is a special highlight: the launch of Lindsey Burrow’s emotional and deeply personal book, Take Care.

A Moment to Celebrate Lindsey’s Journey

This is your chance to be part of the first major celebration of Lindsey’s incredible story. Over the Christmas period, Lindsey has personally signed thousands of copies of Take Care, and at the conference, you’ll have the unique opportunity to:

Hear Lindsey’s moving story in the morning session, An Audience with Lindsey Burrow, hosted by journalist Christa Ackroyd.

Meet Lindsey in person and purchase a signed copy of her book.

Take home your copy just 24 hours after its official release, making this a truly special experience.

‘Take Care is a memoir of love, family and never giving up. As well as telling our family story, I want it to highlight the work that so many carers in the UK are doing in the hope that it will give readers and families hope to overcome challenges in their own lives.’  Lindsey Burrow

An Afternoon of Insight and Inspiration

Lindsey will return later in the day for the Yorkshire Voices Panel, hosted by broadcaster Christine Talbot, from 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM. Joining her are four other extraordinary women, each with powerful stories and a commitment to making a difference:

Lizzie Jones MBE – Campaigning for heart health in sports clubs after the tragic loss of her husband, Danny.

Councillor Abigail Marshall Katung – The first African Lord Mayor of Leeds, championing diversity and community welfare.

Joan Lawrence – Advocate for justice for her missing daughter, Claudia Lawrence.

Claire Throssell MBE – Dedicated to raising awareness of child safety and domestic abuse after her personal loss.

This panel will share deeply moving stories of courage and hope, offering attendees the chance to hear how these extraordinary women have transformed their challenging experiences into meaningful efforts to make a difference.
