A Heartfelt Thank You & Two Unmissable Dates for Your Diary

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us last Friday at our Meet Our Members event at the Great Yorkshire Events Centre, Pavilions of Harrogate.

The afternoon began with lively conversation and a glass of fizz, followed by a warm welcome from our founder, Melanie Malcolm. We were then delighted to hear from our guest speakers, Becky and Lucy, who shared insights into the Event Centre’s work and forthcoming events.

A truly moving moment came when Claire Throssell MBE shared her story. Speaking with courage and honesty, Claire told of the tragic loss of her sons, Jack and Paul, and her mission to ensure that decisions about parental contact never allow known abusers to have unsafe access to children.

Our sincerest thanks also go to all the staff at the Great Yorkshire Events Centre for their outstanding hospitality and support. The venue, beautifully set on the Great Yorkshire Showground, created the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of conversation, connection, and inspiration.

Looking ahead, we are thrilled to announce that the venue will host our Yorkshire Voices Conference in February 2026, a welcome return after our very first conference was held there a decade ago. We can’t wait to gather our community there once again.
