If you’ve been part of Yorkshire Ladies Links for a while, you’ll probably recognise the name Jodie Harris. A familiar face at our events and a long-time supporter of the network, Jodie is a true entrepreneur with a passion for connecting people, creating experiences, and inspiring women in business.
Jodie is the founder of two successful ventures, The Padel Network and Luxury Travel by Jodie, which perfectly reflect her love of travel, wellbeing, and community.
The Padel Network: Fitness, Friendship and Business Connections
Jodie’s latest venture, The Padel Network, brings together women who want to stay active, meet new people and have fun while trying something new. Padel, a sport that combines elements of tennis and squash, is growing rapidly in the UK and is suitable for all ages and abilities.
Through The Padel Network, Jodie has created a welcoming environment for women to play, from complete beginners to those looking for more competitive matches. It’s not just about the game itself, but the friendships and business connections that come with it.
Recently, some members of Yorkshire Ladies Links joined Jodie for an “Intro to Padel” afternoon, including our founder, Melanie Malcolm, who shared her experience:
“Life is so busy, and finding time to keep fit isn’t always easy. I was completely out of my comfort zone joining Jodie’s Padel session. It happened to be one of the hottest days of the year, and I honestly didn’t think it would be for me. But as soon as I arrived and saw some familiar faces, and met some lovely new ones, we were all in the same boat as complete beginners. Two hours later, we had such a laugh and all left asking, ‘When’s the next one?’”
The Padel Network is growing quickly, with sessions designed for all skill levels. It’s a fantastic way to stay active, meet like-minded women and build valuable connections in a relaxed and supportive environment.
